For Your Comfort
During your stay at Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital, we strive to give you the most comfortable experience possible. We offer private rooms with inviting décor, flat screen televisions with complimentary “on demand” features in a majority of rooms and free Wi-Fi throughout the hospital.
Your hospital room has been designed with your safety in mind. Your hospital bed will be electrically operated, and your nurse will show you how to work your bed properly. The bed is probably higher and narrower than your bed at home and has bedside rails for your protection. These may be raised at night or during the day if you’re resting, recovering from surgery or taking certain medications.
You’ll be able to call your nurse with a button located at your bedside. When you press the button, the nurses’ station is alerted and a light turns on above your door. You room is centrally heated and air-conditioned, but if your room temperature isn’t comfortable, please notify your nursing staff.
Before you arrive, we thoroughly prepare your room for your stay and continue to provide housekeeping services 24 hours a day. We also schedule regular daily service from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you have any questions or comments about housekeeping, feel free to contact your attending nurse or the Housekeeping Department at extension 3387.
Leaving the Unit
If you would like to leave the unit during your stay, you must first check at the nurses’ station to make sure your doctor has given approval and to let staff know how where you can be reached. It’s also important that you stay in your room until your doctor has seen you and treatments have been completed.
